Because a custom tandem is a significant investment and represents a long-term commitment, we will take the time to make sure your specifications are completely understood by the builder so that there will be no surprises along the way. We'll also work with you to create the perfect blend of components that compliment your frame AND that will work with all the other components and the design features of your custom frame. Most importantly of all, we'll ensure your new tandem is properly fitted for your and your partner and assembled and tuned to deliver the best possible performance your first time out!

What are the most common reasons for a custom tandem frame?

1.  Fit! There are some teams out there that just don't fit on a standard-sized tandem frame. For those

  teams, we work with the builder to create a custom-sized frame that will provide the team with a

great riding experience, comfort, and performance to match their style and budget. Custom-size

tandem frames can cost as little as $250.00 more than the standard frame cost!

2. Travel! Some teams like to travel with their tandems, and the best way to do so is with a              

tandem designed to be disassembled and carried in specially-made travel cases. While the intial

investment is greater than a standard frame, a frame equipped with S&S couplings will provide

years of top-tier performance, and offer the flexibility of easy transport. For the Travel Tandem

frame, there's no better solution. S&S couplers can add up to $2,000.00 to the frame cost.

Custom Orders: We welcome your custom order. We will work with any manufacturer whose products are warranted for off-road tandem use. If for some reason we cannot accommodate your custom order, we will help you find someone who can. We may require a deposit at the time you place your order for custom frames and bikes. The amount of deposit is based on the individual frame builders' requirements. The remainder of payment is due when we receive your frame from the manufacturer.
