Vicious Cycles makes one type of tandem frame, the 29" wheeled
Jeepster
The momentum of twenty-nine inch wheels makes perfect sense on a tandem.
As a result, it is the only type of tandem Vicious builds.
Every Vicious tandem frame is custom.
From the tube selection to the geometry, every angle and miter are carefully considered.
The result is a tandem that's been finely tuned for its individual team.
Vicious Frame Facts:
- All frames are made of steel
- The tubes are made by Ritchey
- Rack and fender mounts are available at an up charge of $50
- There is no up charge for disc-specific frames
- Custom geometry is an up charge of $500
- Bottle opener is available on all frames at no up charge, and comes stock on the mountain and single speed frames
- All frames can be purchased as a frameset (frame & fork)
- Turn around time on stock frames is 4 to 6 weeks (custom is 6-8 weeks)
- Seat tube outside diameter: 28.6mm, seat post diameter: 27.2mm
- Recommended bottom bracket: 68mm
- All front derailleurs are band type, top-pull top-swing (custom braze-on hangers are available by request)
