The demands placed on off-road tandem components, wheels and forks are twice as rigorous as they are on regular, one-rider mountain bikes. Therefore, we stock and sell only items which are approved by the manufacturers for use on off-road tandems. If you don't see a particular brand or item, it's usually because the manufacturer will not approve that item for off-road tandem use. If you have an item you want to use, or think would be appropriate for use on off-road tandems, let us know. We are constantly talking with component manufacturers about making components suitable for off-road tandem use.

		TANDEM-SPECIFIC BUILD KITS Our build kits represent the best value we could find in complete component packages for outfitting your off-road tandem frame. 		TANDEM-RATED FORKS Suspension forks for tandems are very specialized products that most manufacturers either do not list in their catalogs or produce. However, we have been able to find several companies who either had employees who rode tandem mountain bikes or who have worked with off-road tandem builders who helped them create tandem-specific suspension forks. 		TANDEM-RATED BRAKE SYSTEMS No component is more important to the performance and safety of an off-road tandem than the brake system. Tandem brakes have to be able to control the speed of of two persons and one big bike, and do so in all sorts of conditions. Hydraulic brakes and Disc brakes are ideal for tandems, but they must be heavy-duty designs that can stand up to the additional heat build-up and loads of tandeming.
